Shane Acker's '9' trailer

Thoughts?
I'm pretty hopeful about it, myself. It's a movie based on Shane Acker's animated short, 9 (which can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=964QHmjLqa0). I'm happy to see some CGI animation used for something which can include intensity and fantasy in one. It definitely doesn't look like a kids movie.
by the way, Tim Burton is only producing this, just so that there's no confusion.

LittleBigPlantet: World At War.......haha seems like LittleBigPlanet was in a war this is what it would birth. This movie looks like it has alot to offer specially taking a new outlook on a pixar like CGI... World ending and One thing to save it...

ReplyDeleteWell once upon a time in the yesteryear of 2005 this man made an animated short known as '9'. Well it was nominated for the Oscar for best animated short but lost. But now the guy has a producer and even though the graphics of this trailer are outstanding they were already like that for his short. So basically the producer is allowing him to actually buy food and shelter while he works on his story and pay some of the biggest actors in Hollywood to voice act. At least that's my understanding. I can't help to like an action movie that's actually just rag dolls and bits of vacuum cleaners, blenders and other nick-nacks duking it out... something about that just screams awesome.
