Definately a good find. One of the things that stands out the most when you go to other countries is how far kids are willing to go to get educated. The experiences in this documentary definately mirror the things I saw in the Albert Street school in Johannesburg. The kids just had that same gritted determination to empower themselves through knowledge.
Just think how many of us take our education for granted. One of the most powerful things was the little girls speech. She was only 11 and the anger and all the emotions behind what she was saying made me think, "I shouldn't have anything to complain about."
this was very empowering, and i totally agree with armani, this made me realize that i definitely take my education for granted... it's the small things, man. to us at least. :\
Wow, i feel like a d***, so many people around the world would give anything for an education like we have, they wouldn't fall into this senioritous we get.
