This was the American response to the highly successful "Paris, je t'aime". I'm not saying it's going to be any less great. The idea is that the movie is made up of several 5 minute short films by several different directors. The cast are broken up among the the shorts, so while Natalie Portman is in one short she wouldn't appear in any of the others. The connection is that each story is a story about love in said city (New York or Paris). Some are loose ideas of love and some are very clear cut romance shorts. It's very creative and a great collaborative idea. I suggest seeing Paris, je t'aime first so you can say you saw what actually made this movie possible.
