  1. OMG YES! :] Did you see the picture for the Queen of Hearts too?

God, I'm so glad Burton is going with the book style for this movie, it's going to be so dark and creepy and trippy and AMAZING. <3

  4. I'm upset.... some other pictures lead me to believe he's discovered photoshop. I already have my dislike for Burton, but I was hoping for an epic Alice... though everything I've heard, read and seen have lead me to believe otherwise. While CGI is very helpful for the world Alice inhabits, my personal feeling is that movies like Labyrinth showed how little it truly is needed to make a fantasy world. I believe the reality of the film is what makes it great, that's why I've always loved Raider's of the Lost Ark. Sigh...... also the story is some weird as in the future plot of some kind... I really just have no hope. Maybe Christopher Nolan will try his hand at Alice in Wonderland 15 years later and show Burton how to do it properly. Of course this is based all on opinion. I'm going to see the film unless the trailer discourages me more.

P.S. Why do all the the film institute blog's big movie conversations make me look like I hate everything (Pixar, Harry Potter and now Burton >.<)

  5. I agree with Paul on the whole Photoshop thing. They do look a little wonky, but I think it will work out well in the film.

  9. Prediction: this is gonna suck like Charlie did...sorry, but someone's gotta keep it real in this chicken coop (besides James)...You wanna remake children's classics all dark and twisted...great...just make sure theuy don't suck. You want Alice in Wonderland dark and weird...You Tube Tom Petty's "Don't Come Around Here No More" video. Done.

PS - Paul, it's cause you hate everything.

  12. Paul likes the good, old films. Classics. I think that's why he's always so mad at Pixar and Burton films, it's just the same stuff over and over again, nothing too original or unique. I know if Paul recommends a movie to me it will always be amazing. fo sho.

  13. EEK! and helena bonham carter as the queen of hearts is scary as hell. if it's anywhere nearly as upsetting as charlie and the chocolate factory i'll be sad. :(

  14. i was never a big fan of burton, i only like nightmare before christmas and occasionally edward scissorhands, otherwise not sure, hated his batman

  15. I think this looks very good, but I also think it has real potential to fall flat on its' face...
I'm not a Burton fanatic...I didn't like his "Batman" (but then again, the only batman-related thing I like is "The Dark Knight") but I actually liked his take on "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory" quite a bit... I love "Sweeney Todd" (but that's not really Burton's genius, that's all Sondheim) & "Edward Scissorhands"...so, for me, this looks good, but it's a wait-&-see...

(& I agree with Paul on Tweedle-Dee & Tweedle-Dumb...they look like they have Downe Syndrome...)
