Read this...very interesting

The funniest part about this article is that it appeared on the 1st page of today's Times. Which leads me to believe its a "leak story," in other words, the Times has something that will be potentially damaging to the the power couple, but is yet unprintable, so they take what they DO have, though a lesser news item, and escalate its placement in the paper so as to establish the story initially...or maybe it's just a slow news day.

  1. Wow. I can't believe people think that Angelina and Brad are involved in all these organizations for publicity. Clearly they've spent millions, maybe billions, of dollars donating to funds. I think it's a wonderful thing that celebrities can give this kind of money to charities and organizations to save others in the world who are suffering. If each celebrity would give a million dollars to benefit issues occuring in the world, as opposed to buying new yachts or louis vuitton luggage, they could really make a difference in society. If I'm famous one day, I'll be that person. Mark my words. :)

  3. Well, I think its about time our celebrities have begun to realize the significance of their star power. Its not just the money that gives these folks the power- its their image and name recognition that comes along with it. These 2 are great humaitarians and do have a sincere interest in their cause Im sure, just the same as Michael Moore is an activist and a voice for the average american, speaking loudly with the films he's made. Bono is another great example of someone making use of his celebrity. His AIDS in Africa program has been extremely successful and has raised a lot of money and awareness. I dont think most celebrities require themselves to be seen doing those things all the time. However, the reason these things do get publicized so often is because it doesnt happen on a more regular basis with more actors. It is surprising just how much pre-meditation and thought goes into every move these stars make, but in a sense, when youre in the public eye that often, you need to make all the right decisions. If you want a bad example of this concept, look up Britney Spears. Its nice that these celebrities are making differences all over the world, but why arent they doing anything here in our country? Where bad conditions in some areas are comparable to some of the worst places on the globe. Just think, if we did that, we have the opportunity to change our world standing and global perception from a country of materialistic, money hungry snobs, to a society of people who spent and gave away much of what they worked hard to obtain to try to help make a difference in one persons life. Change starts with just one person. Which celeb will be the first to lead us?
